Swimsuits for Juniors

The Swimsuits for Juniors these days look a lot like the swimwear that was worn about sixty years ago. The styles are very much the same today when compared to years ago. The two-piece swimsuit in days gone by covered a lot more that the two-piece suits these days, but even they have been changing in more recent times.

Younger girls today are looking for even more coverage from their bathing suits. Swimsuit manufacturers and designers realize this and are providing that and also the versatility in the two -piece the girls will want. This has given rise to the tankini, which is somewhat like a tank top that extends further down to the upper part of the abdomen. So with the tankini you will get the coverage a one piece can give but also convenience of the two-piece.

The one piece of fifty years ago looked a lot like the tankini of today, except that the suit covered up more with their high backs and fronts, and they also had a skirt that hung lower that the lower part of the swimsuit. Today the skirtini and the tankini have changed the way juniors are dressing for the beach.

A new piece that a junior can combine with the tankini is a boy cut bottom. This gives more coverage by going past the buttocks, unlike most swim bottoms. They are low cut to the front but the legs cover a great part of the thigh's upper area, and more area than a bikini bottoms or even a thong will give. The skirtini is a bottom that comprises a panty cut with a skirt attached that goes beyond the panty bottom. They provide upper thigh coverage, unlike the traditional bathing suit bottom.

In the newer designs the swimwear tops look like a tank top design. Anyone wearing it can either leave it down for the coverage, or pull it up to display the belly. The tops may have the variations of low cut to the front, ties and zippers and a low cut to the back that may go as low as the middle of the ribs area. These tops may come with comfortable straps for support and even push up cups. The different pieces, sold as separates allow a junior to purchase the right top and the right bottom to match her body measurements, and so can create just the perfect suit for her.
